Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn Fire Department is proud to recognize the recent promotion of Sergeant Cade Cosby to the rank of lieutenant (LT), effective Sept. 30, 2024.

Cade Cosby began his career with the Auburn Fire Department as a student firefighter in May 2012. He was hired as a career firefighter in Aug. 2014 and promoted to sergeant in Jan. 2021. Lt. Cosby graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in agriscience education in 2015.

On his off days, he proudly serves his hometown as the fire chief of the Reeltown Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoys hunting, fishing and working on his farm. He and his high school sweetheart, Ashton, have been married for eight years. They are the proud parents to their beautiful daughter, Emi Kate.
